TAKE NOTICE that a Special General Meeting of Business Kapiti Horowhenua Inc will be held online at 9:30am on April 4th 2026.

The Incorporated Societies Act 2022 came into force on 5 October 2023.  The Act repeals the Incorporated Societies Act 1908 and requires societies to re-register before 5th April 2026 to continue operating as an Incorporated Society.

The business of the meeting will be to consider and, if thought fit, to pass the following resolutions:

RESOLVED that the members of the Society approve the proposed alterations to the Society’s Constitution, as circulated to all members with notice of the Special General Meeting, and that the amended Constitution be adopted as the Society’s new constitution for the purposes of the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.

FURTHER RESOLVED that the Society apply to be re-registered under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022 and that the Executive Committee (or a representative of the Executive Committee) is authorised to complete, sign and submit all documents, declarations and information required for the re-registration of the Society.

FURTHER RESOLVED that the amended Constitution will take effect upon the Society being re-registered under the Incorporated Society Act 2022.

A copy of the Constitution with the proposed alterations will be circulated prior to the meeting
