Customer Choice Awards Terms & Conditions

Entrants:

1. Businesses who enter the awards will be categorised based on being a service, retail or hospitality business.  This will be based on the following definitions:

Retail:  If your primary business is selling a product, then you are a retailer.
Service:  If your primary business is providing a service, then you are a service business.
Hospitality:  If your primary business is providing hospitality, then you are a hospitality business.

2. Businesses who enter the Customer Choice Awards cannot offer incentives to encourage their customers to vote for them.
3. Only one vote per person per business will be accepted.  Duplicates will be removed.
4. By entering, entrants agree that if they win, they will participate in any reasonable publicity arranged by The Promoter or its agencies.
5. Entrants contact details will be provided to the sponsors of the awards and only an initial congratulations communication is permitted.

Voting:

1. Voting in the Customer Choice Awards are open from 9am Monday 12th August to 5pm Monday 9th September.
2. This promotion is only open to NZ residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees and their immediate families of the registered business you are voting for, its agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
3. To enter visit www.bkh.org.nz and complete a voting form for the business (or businesses) you would like to vote for, or use an official hard copy voting form provided by the business.
4. One vote per person per business. Multiple votes for a business will be deleted and only the first vote counted.
5. Full name and contact number needs to be provided to verify the vote.

Prize Draw:
1. You will need to confirm that you do wish to enter the prize draw.
2. The contact number you provided will be used to contact you if you win a prize.
3. The prize draw winners will be publicly announced on Thursday 19th September 2019 via: Facebook page @electrabusinessawards, in the Kapiti Observer and Horowhenua Mail and announced on Beach FM.
4. The Prizes will be drawn in the following order:
– First Prize
– Second Prize
– Third Prize
5. The prizes are non-refundable and no cash alternative is available.
6. The prize draw winners will be selected in a random draw conducted by Business Kapiti Horowhenua Incorporated from all valid votes received by the closing date.
7. The winners will be contacted by phone within 7 days of the draw. In the event that a winner has not been able to be contacted within 7 days of notification then the promoter reserves the right to reallocate the prize to a reserve winner.
8. Please allow up to 14 days for delivery of the prizes.
9. Prizes must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the prize as stated.
10. The Promoter may substitute the prize for a prize of an equal or greater value if, for any reason, the original item is unavailable.
11. By voting in the promotion, participants confirm that they have read and agree to be bound by these terms & conditions and by the decisions of the Promoter, which are final in all matters relating to the promotion. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the prize. No correspondence will be entered into.
12. The Promoter will not be responsible for the non-inclusion of entries as a result of technical failures or otherwise, including any such failure which is within the control of The Promoter or its agencies. Proof of submission of your entry is not proof of receipt of the entry.
