2022 Award Winners!

And the results are in… The 2022 Electra Business & Innovation Award winners are… drum roll, please!

The 2022 Awards were held on Friday evening at the Horowhenua Events Centre in Levin. Hosted by the award-winning comedian Nick Rado, it was a joyous celebration, joining together the 2022 sponsors, finalists and who’s who of the business community in celebrating their local successes, whilst enjoying fabulous food and entertainment.

The calibre of entries across Kāpiti and Horowhenua this year has been extraordinary in a year that has been extremely difficult for a lot of local businesses. Congratulations to all the businesses who entered.

There was also four new inductees, who collectively have made an enormous contribution within their local economy and community, into the Hall of Fame:

And the overall winner of the 2022 Electra Business of the Year, who took home an impressive three awards across the evening was Sustainable Foods Limited.

The Judges were impressed by Sustainable Foods Limited as an outstanding example of a company with an ambitious, fast-growing strategy.  It identified a new business opportunity supplying plant-based protein in local and international markets.  Adopting a world first innovation in product development, SFL has shown an admirable strategic approach to leveraging partnerships and external expertise in research, finance, and market development.
